Belongs To, Better Sharing & a Fresh Home Screen

Version 2026.2.0 is the biggest update we've shipped. It rethinks the first screen you see, the way you find things, and — most importantly — it teaches Cratify something every household already knows: stuff belongs to people.

Belongs To: whose is this, anyway?

Every home inventory question eventually becomes a people question. Whose winter coat is this? Which boxes are your daughter's when she moves out? What in the storage unit is actually your brother's?

With Belongs To, you can assign people — family, roommates, even pets and neighbors — to any item or box. Create people anytime from Settings → People, give them an avatar, and start tagging. When it's time to split, move, or settle up, you already know whose is whose.

Sharing, upgraded

With people built into the data model, sharing got a major upgrade. Invite someone with a simple link and share specific boxes or items with them. When they join, the things assigned to them are ready and waiting — no re-setup, no spreadsheet handoff.

A redesigned home screen

The old home screen made you dig for common actions. The new one puts everything one tap away: the Command Center gives you every action at a glance — add items, create boxes, invite people — and Recent Items drops you right back where you left off.

Grouped search

Search now starts right on the home screen and finds anything in Cratify — items, boxes, rooms, people, and more — grouped by type so you can spot what you're after at a glance instead of scanning one long mixed list.

Redesigned box pages

Box pages got tabs: flip between items, details, and history. View items as a list or a grid — whichever matches how you think.

Sign in with Apple and Google

Passwords are the enemy of "I'll set it up later." You can now sign in with one tap using your Apple ID (on iOS) or your Google account (anywhere). Already signed up with email? Link your Apple or Google account from Account → Connected accounts and use whichever sign-in you prefer.

Address autocomplete

Start typing a location's address and pick from real-world suggestions — no more copy-pasting from Maps.
